Is a certified Black Belt in Design for Six Sigma and has earned the prestigious EB1a green card (dubbed as Einstein Visa) approval in 2019 for his outstanding contributions to US Medtech space

MATERIALS ENGINEER (NITINOL EXPERT)
Charles Thomas
Charles Thomas is an engineer with proficiency in materials science. He has accumulated extensive previous experience at Medtronic regarding nitinol manufacturing and bench fatigue testing.
His special expertise is in wire-form stent-graft manufacturing and evaluation and has formerly worked closely with Aorto Medical’s CTO, Saleem Abdul Ganiy, for several years at Medtronic’s endovascular unit.
Charles has 17 years of experience with Medtronic and a total of 42 years of experience with the shape memory alloy of Nitinol.

SHERIF AHMED
MS
Sherif Ahmed is a mechanical R&D engineer. As an R&D engineer, he has 9+ years of experience as a CFD and finite elements researcher in multiple R&D projects. He carries a master's degree in Mechanics of Materials and Design from Girona University.

He has extensive experience in computational fluid mechanics, finite element analysis and mechanical design. As a researcher, much of his work has focused on hemodynamics applications and specifically on designing an innovative stent for the aorta. His recent work on developing the flow modulation stent using Nitinol (a shape memory alloy) increases blood flow to kidneys for patients with heart failure. This work involved performing finite element analysis, fatigue analysis, and modeling the aortic artery's function while measuring the response and the interaction of both the stent and the artery under pulsatile pressure.
